Watch Description

All Trappist-1 NASA Edition models have back-filled luminous hands and silkscreened dials for stargazing. The Orbiting Planetary System consists of glowing Super-LumiNova indices and planets to help space explorers keep track of time as they travel in the darkest regions of the universe. The inner luminous planet represents the hours while the outer luminous planet shows the minutes, all while orbiting around the central axis. The Trappist-1 Automatic model also features tritium tubes! You'll always be able to read the time, even in the dark void of space. The constellation-like seconds hand sweeps across the dial similar to comets streaking across the night sky and once every minute it aligns to complete the Trappist-1 star map dial.

The Trappist-1 Automatic has a Miyota 8215 self-winding movement that generates power as you wear it. The mechanical movement is made in Japan and is known for its precision and reliability. Each automatic movement comes equipped with a proprietary solar system rotor that can be appreciated through the exhibition crystal on the caseback. The Trappist-1 Automatic has a power reserve of 42 hours.

The grille of the Trappist-1 resembles the Cupola and gives you a sense of looking out into space. Each of the twelve support bridges also doubles as an hour marker. The domed crystal is made from Hesalite that was originally developed for NASA.

The straps are made from Italian leather which is ribbed and stitched to pay tribute to the articulated ridge-lines seen on space gloves.

In honor of the year of the moon landing, only 1969 pieces of each Trappist-1 NASA Edition colorway will be made and each watch will be individually numbered.

# Xeric Trappist-1 Automatic NASA Edition Apollo 11 LE-1969 Review by A.I. WatchMetrics

## Watch Summary
The Xeric Trappist-1 Automatic NASA Edition Apollo 11 LE-1969 is a thematic tool watch honoring the 1969 moon landing, featuring a proprietary jumping hour disc with lunar surface texture and Apollo 11 mission graphics on a matte black dial, powered by a modified Miyota 9015 automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve, aimed at space enthusiasts, collectors, and casual adventurers seeking a bold 43mm limited edition piece with 100m water resistance.

## Overall Watch Rating: 7.1/10.0

**Dials & Design Metric (9.2/10.0)** - The immersive NASA Apollo 11 artwork, quote, and jumping hour execution deliver exceptional visual impact akin to high-end collector editions from brands like Bulova Lunar Pilot.

**Material Metric (9.0/10.0)** - Black PVD-coated 316L steel, double-domed AR sapphire crystal, and robust finishing match the quality of Tudor Black Bay cases at a fraction of the cost.

**Movement Metric (8.6/10.0)** - The Miyota 9015 enhanced with Xeric's jumping hour module offers reliable 4Hz performance and in-house flair comparable to modded ETA 2824 builds in microbrands.

**Versatility Metric (7.5/10.0)** - With 100m WR, NATO strap, and stealthy black finish, it transitions well from daily casual wear to light adventures like a Sinn 556.

**Complications Metric (7.1/10.0)** - The jumping hour complication provides mechanical intrigue similar to entry-level disc-switchers from Nomos or Junghans.

**Brand Metric (6.5/10.0)** - Xeric stands as a capable American microbrand with enthusiast following, on par with Halios or NTH in niche appeal.

**History & Innovation Metric (6.3/10.0)** - Proprietary module and NASA tie-in bring fresh innovation, though it trails heritage leaders like Omega's space-proven chronographs.

**Rarity Metric (5.0/10.0)** - Capped at 1969 pieces around $1000 retail, its exclusivity aligns with typical microbrand LEs like Zelos Swordfish variants.

**Functions Metric (4.5/10.0)** - Core time-only display with jumping hours lags behind multifunction rivals like Seiko divers with date and bezels.

## Total Performance Score (TPS): 4.1

## WM Collector Grade: C

## Performance Insights: Standout dials, materials, and movement drive collector interest, but subdued functions hinder value relative to the $650 implied fair price.

## TPS Interpretation: Modest Value: The watch impresses with thematic design and solid construction but offers limited functionality for its market price.
